New Zealand is one of the few countries in the world where the net proceeds from gaming machines are returned to the community. All gaming trusts are required by law to return a minimum of 40% of the revenue taken by gaming machines back to the community.
In our last financial year, Infinity Foundation distributed grants to community organisations in excess of $16 million. This was well in excess of the minimum required by the government.
The Annual review of the criteria, methods, systems and policies used for consideration of applications for the distribution of net proceeds was carried out at a meeting of Directors on 19th October 2015. No significant changes were made.
